On Wednesday, July 21, 2010, Mary Ann Ranka Comport, age 93, of Gibsonia. Born March 11, 1917, in Ravna Gora, Yugoslavia to the late Frank Ranka and Katherine Ranka Kesich. Step daughter of the late Joseph Kesich. Beloved wife of 70 yrs. of the late James G. Comport. Loving mother of James A. (Margie) Comport, of OH, Gerald F. (Susan) Comport, of McCandless Twp., Jan M. (Jane) Comport, of NS, and Judith A. (late John) Malone, of Adams Twp. Sister of Joseph (Kathryn) Kesich and the late Theresa Wagner, Jacob Ranka (wife Ann living), Julia Pavilonis, and George Kesich. Grandmother of Linda (John) Katzenmeyer, James (Joni) Comport, Jan Comport, Kelli Malone, and Kristopher (Kara) Malone. Step grandmother of Kimberly (Cris) Salancy. Great grandmother of Joshua Comport. Step great grandmother of Tanner, Emma, and Erin Salancy. Friends received Saturday 6-8 PM and Sunday 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Simons Funeral Home, Inc., 7720 Perry Hwy. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Kilian Church (original location at Clark & Cherry Sts.) on Monday at 11 AM.
